IRRIGATION
Sir,—l wish to support Mr J. Montgomery in his letter on irrigation published on June 21. Having inspected the flooded areas at Seadown and heard the opinion of wise and experienced farmers who knew this country well before the irrigation scheme was in operation, I strongly urge the chairman of the Ashburton County Council to arrange for a public meeting of farmers to hear the explanation of the engineer and the Minister for Public Works.-Yours. etc., r grigg June 23, 1941.
