EFFECT OF WAR ON ONE FAMILY
FOUR MEMBERS KILLED,
TWO INJURED
(U.P.A,) CAPE TOWN, June 18. The tragic effect of the war on one family has been revealed with the marriage of Mr Oscar Ohlsen, a member of the crew of a Norwegian tanker, to a South African nurse. Ohlsen’s father was killed when a Norwegian ship in which he was serving was divebombed. His brother, in the same ship, lost his two legs and an arm. His two sisters, who were nurses, escaped death when the hospital ship in which they were serving was bombed, but they were later killed by machine-gun fire. His mother was killed in an air raid and Ohlsen himself was blinded when his ship was attacked. .
