Mrs Richard Hudson (Dunedin), who has been spending a few weeks, in Christchurch, will return home today. Miss Kathleen Greenslade (Dunedin), who has been visiting Wellington. is now the guest of Mrs Maurice Louisson, "Littlebourne,” Shirley. Sir Evelyn Wrench, founder of the Overseas League, and Lady Wrench have arrived in Auckland from England. They are expected in Wellington at the end of next week and there they will be entertained pn June 23 by Sir Harry Batterbee, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand, and by the EnglishSpeaking Union. They will then visit the South Island. Lady Wrench is a sister of Sir Alan Brooke, Commander-in-Chief of the Home Forces, in Great Britain, and a daughter of the late Sir Victor Brooke, Bart. Mrs L. Mrs Nicholas Fitzmaurice, wife of the British Consul-General in Amoy, China, has arrived in Dunedin with her two children. The length of her stay in New Zealand is indefinite. Mrs Edward Parkerson (“Fassifern”), who has been a patient in the Christchurch Hospital, flew to Dunedin yesterday with her daughter. She will be a patient in the Stafford street hospital for some time. Mrs Vesey Robinson (Lake. Timara, Blenheim) is visiting Christchurch, Miss Helen Waddy (“The Waterfalls,” Seddon), who has been visiting her sister in South Canterbury, will arrive in Christchurch to-day and leave to-morrow for Marlborough. Mrs Christie (Nelson), who is staying with Mrs G- G. Newton (Kaikoura), will leave this week for Christchurch.
