MORSE CLASSES FORMED IN TIMARU

TRAINING RECRUITS FOR AIR FORCE To provide training in Morse for new Air Force recruits ttvo special classes are being formed at the Post Office at Timaru. The classes will be held on Mondays and Fridays, from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m., and will accommodate more than 30 men. The men attending this course of instruction are reported to be very keen and anxious to become proficient. The number four long course signalling examinations are now being held and ma’ of the recruits are capable of sending 11 words and receiving at the rate of eight words a minute, which is stated to be considerably above the standard aimed at, which was six words.
