RED CROSS LEADER VISITS TIMARU
. # ■ y# A general discussion op Red Cross work took place when Miss E. Tennent, commandant-m-chief of the Voluntary Aid Detachment of the Red Cross Society, paid a visit to Timaru and was entertained at morning tea by members of the V.A.D. committee, of the Timaru centre. In the afternoon Miss Tennent conferred, with country detachments and addressed representatives of sub-centres. In the evening she inspected the Timaru detachment in the Caroline Bay Hall and complimented the members on their efficiency and general appearance.
