EARLY PRESBYTERIAN HISTORY

The history of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hokitika, is recorded in a booklet entitled “Remember the Days,” which has been published to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the church. It is a full and interesting account of activities since April' 30, 75 years ago, when steps were taken to form a Presbyterian congregation in Hokitika, as recorded in the “local and mining” column of the “West Coast Times” of May 2, 1866. The booklet is full of material of considerable value to the student of early social life on the West Coast, and has many excellent records of notable ministers in the Presbyterian Church in early times.
