The sale of Sir Beau to India, reported recently, is understood to have fallen through. Previous Successes F. D. Jones and C. Emerson, who Will have representatives in the Great Easter Handicap, have figured as winning riders in the event. Jones won on Machine Gun in 1905, when that horse carried 10-4 to victory, and Emerson won on Madam Madcap in 1911, on Emperador in 1915, and on Songbird in 1922. The 1024 winner, Razzle Dazzle, trained by S. Waddell, was ridden by the trainer’s nephew, F. Waddell, whose son will ride Kentucky on Monday. A Fancied Candidate Enrich is due at Riccarton this morning,’ and his stable mate Siglow is to race at Tauherenikau to-day, and will be shipped south to-night. Enrich will be ridden by A. E. Sydney Yearling Sales Twelve months ago, as the Sydney yearling sales approached, predictions based on the results of yearling sales i.n New Zealand and Melbourne, that the market would be down, were prevalent (says the “Sydney Morning Herald’’). One important fact was overlooked—the Sydney market attracts the best breeds in the country, and the sales realised more than 100,009 guineas, and proved the best for 10 years. Circumstances are favourable for a good sale. There is a boom in racing, and there are nearly 100 yearlings fewer in the catalogue, which will be presented by William Inglis and Son Pty., Ltd., at Randwick on April 15, 17 and 18.
