HUMAN COLUMN ANNIHILATED LONDON, April a Amplifying the Greek communique dealing with the operations in the Struma Valley, a Greek spokesman said the outstanding fact was the complete annihilation of an important German column which attempted to advance along a ravine. The column was allowed Jo walk into the ravine and. then the Gfeeks opened fire. The spokesman said no Germans escaped from that ravine, which was strewn with bodies. ITALIAN CLAIMS IN CYRENAICA An Italian-communique issued to-day said that Italian and German armoured forces had reached Barce and Tokra. The Rome radio claimed that the forces had got to Derna. KIEL HEAVILY BATTERED The Royal Air Force last night gave Kiel a terrific battering in a raid,‘which lasted nearly five hours. The. raid was officially described as heavy and successfulrand'was- carried out in perfect weather.. Great fires were seen, to break out as the Royal , Air Force rained down .100 tons of its roost powerful bombs on the ■ submarine yards and docks.
