t A successful year, both financially and in the progress of the sport of fencing, is reviewed in the annual report of the Christchurch Swords Club. Officers were elected as follows:—Patron. Lady Ward; president, Mr Hugh Cato; vice-presidents, Mrs F. M. Andrews, Messrs H. Worrall, T. W. Rose, and W. S. Elsom; captain. Sir Joseph Ward; vicecaptains, Mis!s M. F. Andrews and Mr H. E. Cox; honorary secretary, Miss M. Crespln; honorary treasurer, Mr D. L. Donovan; honorary assistant secretary, Miss J. Stevens: honorary auditor, Mr I. J. Wilson; committee, Misses N. Northcroft and E. Cropp, Messrs R. Cato, D. Crosbie, and B. J. McAuliffe.
