RAILWAY TIME-TABLES
Sir,—On making application to the Railway department for a holiday booklet, so that I could see ’how the brains would be running at Easter and make my-holiday fit in accordingly, I was- informed that they had nol yet arrived. On asking for a pocket guide as the next best, I was informed that they were out of stocky and that not a single ‘ one could be procured m Christchurch. This seems'to be bad management somewhere, especially 1 when the department exhorts one to travel by train in these days of petrol .shortage. Or is it because the department Is*so sure of good business in. these days it. does not worry much? The. booklets should be ready at least before the holidays, so that can ihake arrangements accordingly, but 'here we are a week before rhe holidays and they are not procurable.—Yours, etc., ‘lm. i April 2. 1941. 1 [ThevDistrlct -Traffic Manager states: “The holiday booklets are, printed in Welllntfbn.
