TERRITORIALS ASSEMBLE
As a preliminary to the territorial brigade manoeuvres, which will begin in South Canterbury on Thursday and continue for'.l4 days, three special trains carrying the Ist Battalion, Southland Regiment, and the Ist Battalion. Otago Regiment, travelled from Dunedin. The Otago men detrained at Ashburton, and the Southlanders went on to Burnham. Another special train travelled from Greymouth, bringing the Nelson-West Coast-Marlborough Regiment to Burnham. A transport column on the Main South road carried artillery pieces and equipment/ In addition to the Southlanders and the West Coast men concentrating at Burnham. were the 3rd Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery; 3rd Signals Company: 3rd Field Company, New Zealand Engineers; 3rd Reserve Motor Transport Company; 3rd New Zealand Army Service Corps; 3rd Provost Company; and the 3rd Field Ambulance. '
