FIVE PREMISES BROKEN INTO AT PETONE
♦ : ' (fSESS ASSOCIATION TECEOEAM.) WELLINGTON, February 25; Five Petone premises were broken into during the week-end, but inmost of them the intruder’s haul was only very small. At the C. and A. Odlin Timber and Hardware Company and the Golden West Fruit-Packing Company, Ltd., small sums in silver were taken. From Colgate-Palmolive, Ltd., several sums of money belonging to the proprietors and employees were taken. Visits to the Harco Foundry and the B. and B. Concrete Company were fruitless. The premises of W. H. Lees, wine and spirit merchants, Lower Hutt, were entered last evening and a small sum of money taken.
