CONTRIBUTIONS TO CATHOLIC FOREIGN MISSIONS Diocesan reports presented at the annual meeting of the New Zealand National Council of the Propagation of the Faith, held at the Bishop’s house, Barbadoes street, Christchurch, yesterday morning, showed that £BIBS 10s lOd was contributed during 1940 to the foreign missions through the three Pontifical mission aid societies. This total represents an increase t of more than £ISOO on the sum given 'in 1939. Individual totals were: Propagation of the Faith, £5117 12s; Holy Childhood, £2229 15s Id; Peter the Apostle, £B3B 3s 9d. The Rt. Rev. Monsignor Delaney (Dunedin) presided over the following representatives of the four Catholic dioceses:—The Rt. Rev. Monsignor Cahill (Auckland), the Rt. Rev. Monsignor Mcßae (Wellington), the Very Rev. Dr. Kennedy (Christchurch), the Rev. Dr. O’Neill and Mr Felix O’Neill (Wellington).
