WOMAN FINED £lO AUCKLAND. January 20. “It is rarely that we find a woman before the Court on a charge like this,” said Mr J. MOrling, S.M., dealing with Katrina Rossiter, who admitted being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. The defendant drove the car on the wrong side of the road and was involved in a minor collision. Counsel said the defendant took some gin to a woman friend in hospital; but the friend did not want it, and the defendant and her husband consumed some of it. The defendant was fined £lO, her- , driving licence was cancelled, and she was prohibited from obtaining another for one year.
