GERMAN VESSEL CAPTURED
ATTEMPT TO RUN BLOCKADE

LONDON, December 16. A British warship captured the German vessel Klaus Schoke (5848 tons) and landed eight officers and 22 men in Britain.
The ship lay for five months in a neutrql port before the captain made a dash for Germany. The warship saw her sneaking through the Atlantic in darkness and fired a warning shot, and the German crew surrendered to a boarding party.
