SOMERFIELD CLUB SPORTS

There was a good attendance at the opening carnival of the Somerfield Amateur Swimming Club. Results were as follows :

INTER-CLUB CARNIVAL Keen competition lor places was seen at. the irter-club swimming carnival held in fine, weather at Riccarton on Saturday afternoon. A pood performance was that of Miss P. Stewart, intermediate champion of the Christchurch. Girls’ High School, who easily out-distanced other competitors in the 50 yards women's event and registered good time. Prizes for most points in the various events were won by Miss P. Stewart (3), Miss ,T. Bowman (5), N. Chambers (II), J. Ede (!)), and W. Ditford (9).
