SHIRLEY METHODIST CHURCH
A special Christmas service was held lh tht Shirley Methodist Church on Sunday evening, when carols and Christmas hymns were sung. The carols Included “O Singe We a Songe" <an old traditional number), "Hark the U?rald Angels Sing," "Come, Let us Celebrate the Day," "Sing, Christians. Sing.", and "The Bethlehem Shepherds. Miss R. Emmett took the solo part in one o£ the carols. The choir
also gave the anthem, “Behold, I bring You Good Tidings." The Rev. C. Strand was the preacher, his subject being "The Ministry of Song.” At the conclusion of the service the Nativity play, “Star of Wonder" was performed by members of the Girls’ Club, the producer being Miss J. Holland. Incidental music was supplied by Mr W. D. Marks (organ), ana the choir (carols and hymns).
