Temperatures rising slowly. The main control of the meteorological situation is being exercised ' by an anti-cyclone which is almost f stationary over the Dominion. ;| Weak depressions are located east , of Auckland and iig the South i Tasman Sea. Winds—Light and variable over most l of the country, but in northern and / north-eastern portions of 'the North ] Island moderate southerlies prevailing, =1 and north-easterlies freshening later on the Canterbury coast. The barometer at 5 o’clock yesterday was at 29.98 Inches and falling. Wellington—The weather was warm with a south-east breeze and passing cloud.
