SALK ON HIRE PURCHASE SYSTEM
(PRKS.4 ASSOCIATION nthRORAM.) AUCKLAND, December 14. A notice published in this week s Gazette brings four types of chattels within the seventh schedule of the Chattels Transfer Act of 1924. They are electric washing machines, electric ironing machines, electric floor polishing machines, and petrol-driven washing machines. _ _ _ The Minister for Industries ana commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) said to-day that full investigations had revealed that the practice had been established of dealing with these classes of chattels by the methoc. ol hire purchase, and accordingly the seventh schedule had been extended. The effect was that hire purchase agreements in connexion with such goods did not now require to be registered.
