CHRISTMAS PARTY

SOLDIERS ENTERTAINED AT WELCOME CLUB More than 500 men of the overseas forces from Burnham were the guests of city Arms at a Christmas dinner party held at the Welcome Club last evening. The provisions, decorations, and services were all the gifts of city business houses. The main dining-room was gaily decorated with streamers and crimson roses, and Christmas lilies formed the major part of the floral decorations. Led by the Burnham Camp Band the men marched from the station and entered the Welcome Club in procession. The menu consisted of spring lamb, green peas and new potatoes, plum pudding, fruit salad and trifle, sweets, nuts, and soft drinks. In addition paper hats and Christmas crackers were also provided.
