FRIENDLY MATCH The annual match between the Veterans and the T. and G. Insurance Company was played at Hagley oval on Thursday, On a perfect wicket Veterans batted first and compiled 242 (H. W. Lawrence 40, F.
Woods 37. W, Randall 34, F. Fuller 33. E. Hall 31 B. Warren 30. all retired). For T. and G. C. Butler two for 57, B. Eder one for 21, L. J. Lewis one for 22, and L. A. Gordon one for 24. T. and G. replied with 178 (W. Robinson 31 retired. I Fooler 36, J. Hartley 25, B. Eder 18, C. Butler 18). H. A. Lawrence three for 45, E. Hall two for 10, F. Woods two for 16, S. W. Hassall two for 30 divided the wickets for the Veterans, who won by 64 runs.
