CITY COUNCIL LOAN approved £25,000 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF COTTAGES
The City Council’s scheme for the housing of aged persons will be advanced g another stage by the raising ol a loan of £25,000 for the construction of 50 more housing units on a site to be purchased. , .. Advice was received by the council yesterday that the Local Government Loans Board had granted the application for sanction to raise a ,‘ oa , n °j £25,000 for the purchase of land and erection of cottages. The whole of the money will be advanced by the State Advances Corporation. The loan will be for a term of 30 years, bearing interest at the rate or 3 per cent.
