Published to raise funds for the Australian Red Cross, Olive Mellor’s The Gardener’s Log (Robertson and Mullens, Ltd. 159 pp, 3s 6d) consists of an undated diary arranged with instructions for monthly work in the garden. In addition numerous paragraphs by eminent persons, some of them horticulturists, contain useful hints.
