LOANS TO SOUTH AMERICAS
MONEY FROM U.S. TO PROMOTE TRADE (Received December 12, 9.30 p,m.) WASHINGTON, December 11. The Federal Loans Administrator fMr Jesse Jones) announced a loan of 60.000. dollars by the Export and Import Bank to Argentina to promote trade. Argentina previously received 50.000. dollars from the Stabilisation Fund. , ‘ Uruguay will get a loan of 7,500,000 dollars. Mr Jones added that the question of financial aid to Britain awaits Mr Roosevelt’s return. Puke of Gloucester Meets New Zealand Troops,—The Duke of Gloucester spoke yesterday with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force jn the south of England. The units inspected included the Maori Battalion—London, i December 11. ,
