ST. ANDREW’S COLLEGE
ANNUAL CONCERT HELD Pupil* of St. Andrew's College successfully presented the final performance of their annual concert at the Radiant Hall. Players and audience derived much pleasure from Gilbert and Sullivan's “Trial by Jury.” Leading parts were well taken by R. R. McPherson, D. J. Patterson, W. B. Barlow, J. B. Lovell-Smlth, and E. H. A. Robinson. A group of attractive “bridesmaids" added much colour to the scene. A high standard of acting was attained by those boys who presented A. A, Milne's comedy "The Boy Comes Home.” D, B. Wilkie and Lovell-Smith, in the leadlnf? parts, maintained their parts convincingly, with able support from J. R. Cocks, D. Horne, and R. A. Ayling. The second half of the programme was devoted to .an ambitious and successful presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan's "H.M.S. Pinafore,” A pleasing stage setting and sound work by the different chorus groups formed a good background for the work of the principals. H, N. Brownlie, Patterson, and Lovell-Smith pleasingly interpreted their parts. Robinson, Ayling, Barlow, H. Hay, and J. F. McKenzie assisted ably.
