ACCIDENTS
CAR AND MOTOR CYCLE COLLIDE TRAMWAY BUSES HELD UP Three tramway buses were held up for about a quarter of an hour, and a young man was taken to the Public Hospital, when a collision occurred at the intersection of Worcester street and Manchester street at 11 o’clock last evening, between a motor-cycle and a three-seater car. The injured man was C. G. Joseph, of 113 Smith street, Woolston. A pillion-rider on the rear of the motor-cycle was slightly injured about the face and hands, but was able to go home. Joseph’s injuries consisted of concussion, cuts about the head, and a broken femur. His condition late last night’ was reported to be satisfactory. HEAD INJURIES Thomas Connolly, aged 30, of Hakaia, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital at 1 o'clock this morning suffering from head injuries. He had fallen in the street near Latimer square.
