Dr. Christian at Crystal Palace
The real life romance between a city boy and a small-town girl is told in "Dr. Christian Meets the Women," in which Jean Hersholt is starred. The film is at the Crystal Palace to-day. The stars are Frank Albertson and Marilyn Merrick. Marilyn's small-town life is interrupted when Frank comes to River's End as a press agent for a quack reducing specialist. To please Frank. Marilyn tries the dietetic plan, which is not endorsed by Hersholt, as Dr. Christian, because it requires no medical supervision. Marilyn falls ill, and there are dramatic scenes before the satisfactory end. Comedy is entertainingly mingled with the drama in "Dr. Christian Meets the Women,” thanks to Edgar Kennedy who, with Dorothy Lovett
and Rod La Rocque, has a featured role. RKO Radio releases this Stephens-Lang production. . _ , , The entire action of “One Crowded Night," the associate feature, transpires during a 12-hour period at a modern tourist camp on the edge of an Arizona desert, and involves an oddly assorted group of people gathered at the camp for an overnight stop. Three romances and a stirring story of revenge, loyalty, and mother-love are interlinked to make the compelling drama of this original story by Ben Holmes, Sharing feature billing are William Haade as the sweetheart of Billie Seward. Paul Guilfoyle as the husband of Anne Revere, Charles Lang as Adele Pearce’s husband, and Dick Hogan as Gale Storm’s boy friend.
