BATH FOR WAIMAIRI SCHOOL
♦ To raise funds for a learners’ swimming pool a successful fair was held in the Waiinairi School grounds on Saturday. Drill displays and exhibitions of school work, together with a number of stalls and sideshows, attracted a large attendance and more than £7O was raised, a result that Mr L. H. Halliday. president of the Waimairi Parents’ Association, regarded as excellent. The full amount needed is now in sight and the pool is expected to be finished when school resumes alter the Christmas holidays.
