The words “No more troops for overseas” stencilled in white paint on the roadway greeted Papakura residents on a recent morning on. the twb approaches to the northern overhead railway bridge. The lettering had been done carefully, during the night, the words being placed on the left-hand side of the road in each case so that they could be read by oncoming traffic. The police are investigating. It is considered significant that the slogan was placed on the road regularly used by soldiers travelling between the camp and the township.
