PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that -L By-law No. 26, relating to the Christchurch City Abattoir, will come into force on the Ist day of December, 1940. The object or purport of the Bylaw is;— 1. To repeal Part XXV of the Christchurch By-law No. 1, comprising Sections 691 to 717 both inclusive, the Christchurch By-law No. 9 and Sections 166 and 167 of The Christchurch By-law No, 15. 2. To make provision for the management of the Christchurch City Abattoir and regulate the conduct , of persons admitted thereto, 3. To make provision for the method of slaughtering of animals at the Abattoir and the removal of carcases therefrom, 4. To fix the method of payment of charges payable In respect of driving, housing, feeding and slaughtering any cattle at the Abattoir under contract. 5. To fix the rate of charges payable by persons on whose account any stock is slaughtered at the Abattoir. 6. To make provision for returns to be furnished to the City Treasurer of meat derived from stock slaughtered elsewhere than in the Abattoir sold or exposed for sale or deemed to have been sold for consumption within the district.
