GIFT TO PATRIOTIC FUND.

YEAR’S PENSION PAYABLE IN ENGLAND ir»*Sß iSSOCIATIO* rJUGUIK.) WELLINGTON. November 13. An offer of an English war pensioner now living in New Zealand to give a year's pension of £42 to the £1.000,000 All Purposes Patriotic Appeal is acknowledged by the Dominion organiser. The donor, a resident of Paeroa, writes: ‘‘Possibly the money in the Old Country would be of more value to you than if subscribed here, and I would suggest you might be able to arrange that my war pension could be held each quarter for the year. Arrangements are being made through the Pensions Department at Home. I would' rather do this than put my name on a local list, as I am not fond of publicity.”
