* PATRIOTIC FUND A public meeting of those interested in raising funds for patriotic purposes will be held in the Council Chamber to-night at 8 o’clock. The Mayor (Mr F. E. Sutton) said yesterday that one of the objects of the meeting would be consideration of a scheme to raise funds for the relief of distress in London. He hoped that there would be a big attendance of both men and women. Oddfellows’ Hall Improvements are to be made to the Oddfellows’ Hall in Winchester street, which has been the meeting place of the Loyal City of Norwich Lodge for more than 50 years. The lodge officials have decided to enlarge the big hall by taking out the stage and building an orchestral platform on the present site of the dressing rooms.
