FUND TO BUY FIGHTERS
SUBSCRIPTIONS FROM CANTERBURY Subscriptions to the Canterbury Fund for buying fighting aeroplanes for Britain are coming in steadily but not spectacularly. Additional sums received by the editor of "The Press" yesterday amounted to £l9B 13s 6d, bringing the total for Canterbury to date to £3085 12s sd. The fund will close on September 30. Mr E. F. Stead has given a collection of gold medals, valued at £ls, and "An Elderly Lady" has given an emerald ring. The editor acknowledges receipt of the following additional subscriptions:
