The second round of matches in the New Zealand women's hockey tournament was played under ideal conditions. Results;— A Section—Auckland B 4 (scorers. Misses Spiers 2, Bilkey 2), Ashburton 0: Wellington 3 (Misses Yeatman, Oliver, and Green), Akitio 0. B Section—Auckland A 2 (Miss Spring 2), Wanganui 0; Wairarapa 3 (Misses Maloney, McCarty, and Ross), Rangitiki 1 (Mrs Hammond): Canterbury a bye. MALVERN AND HORORATA WOMEN’S TEAMS DRAW Playing hockey at Hororata oh Saturday, the Malvern A and B grade women's teams drew with the Ashburton A and B grade teams in both grades. Both teams scored one. goal each. The referees were Mr Crammer (Christchurch), Mr Henderson iHalkett), Mr Corbett (Ashburton), and
Mr Hawke (Sheffield).
