Twelve copies of an album of Maori songs, illustrated with New Zealand scenes, were forwarded by Messrs Chas. Begg and Company to Lord Bledisloe, former Governor-General of the Dominion. The following letter acknowledging the gift has been received from Lord Bledisloe:—“Very many thanks for your letter of April 3. How extremely kind and generous of you to send me another 12 copies of your attractive publication, ‘Famous Maori Songs. Indeed, my lady and I hav6 been sorrowing over the fact that we no longer have a copy, having parted a month ago with our only copy to Queen Mary, who expressed much admiration for it when paying us a visit in Lydney Park.”
