COMPETITIONS AT ASHBURTON
VOCAL CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Of chief interest at the annual festival of the Ashburton Competitions Society on Saturday was the women’s vocal championship, which was won by Miss Beryl Gough (Spinner) with Mrs N. E. Glass (Oamaru) runner-up, A varied programme was provided at the evening session, which was well attended. It comprised all the recalls during the day as well as many new classes.
