MOTOR-CAR RAFFLE AT GREYMOUTH

GOOD PROGRESS MADE WITH TICKET SALES

Good progress is reported in the sale, of tickets in the motor-car raffle which is being conducted by the Greymouth Patriotic Committee. In Greymouth alone more than 10,000 tickets have been sold. It is reported that 3000 tickets have also been sold in country areas, which covered the district from Inangahua to Bruce Bay. Country sales are being stimulated by the enlistment of the aid of the Commercial Travellers’ Association. The raffle definitely closes on September 14, and it is likely that more than £IOOO will be cleared to augment the Westland patriotic funds. The money will be retained in the district for soldiers and their dependants.
