PIONEER AMATEUR SPORTS CLUB
* ELECTION OF OFFICERS A membership of 843 was reported at the annual meeting of the Pioneer Amateur Sports Club at the club rooms last evening. It was reported that many members had joined the forces. The balance-sheet showed that income for tire year was £759 2s Id. and although £25 Is lOd in excess of the income of the year before this sum was not sufficient to meet expenses, which at £B2B 8s 8d (an increase of £3B 19s 8d) left a net loss of £G9 6s 7d. With this amount subtracted the accumulated fund stood at £409 19s 3d. Approval was given to the .election of Messrs C. F. Bennett, L. De La Mare, and F. P. Sprosen to life membership of the Pioneer Motor Club. Officers were elected as follows:—Patron, Mr C. S. Thomas; president, Mr R. C. Symes; vice-presidents, Messrs Angus Donaldson, C. Bennington, R. H. Parker; general committee, Messrs C. H. Franklin, R. Haworth. L. J. Keys, T,G. Fox, W. J. Cowles; honorary auditor, Mr L. J. Keys: delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr Angus Donaldson,
