BUSINESS ASSOCIATION AT NEW BRIGHTON
———- ■ ACTIVITIES AFFECTED BY WAR Considerable curtailment of the association’s activities because of the outbreak of war was reported by the president (Mr C. K. Ingold) to the annual meeting of the New Brighton Business Association last night. It was stated, in reports to the meeting, that the association had been able considerable help towards the various sick and wounded appeal fund schemes. The association showed a satisfactory credit balance for the year, though slightly bflow last year’s. Officers elected were:—-Patrons, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan (Minister for Supply), the Mayor of New Brighton (Mr E. L. Smith); president, Mr W. G. Brown; vice-presidents, Messrs W. J. McKenzie, H. S. Mitchell, H. N. Hawker (re-elected); secretary and. treasurer, Mr R. T. Marriott (re-elected); executive, Messrs F. W. Cullimore, D. McKenzie. D. A. Clarke,- C. -K.- Ingold. F, Barritt. T. Cooke, A. W. Jackson; auditor, Mr C. V. Lester.
