■ Sugar Industry in Britain. —The British Sugar Corporation produced 500.000 tons of white and raw beet sugar in the year ended March 31 from a crop which was a record acreage yield, and in addition provided 300.000 tons of dried pulp, and 48,000 tons of saleable molasses. The trading profit was £722,143, compared with £383,312 last year.—Rugby, July 29.
