BUNGALOW RAFFLE
♦ CAMPAIGN TO COMMENCE ON AUGUST 9 Arrangements were completed for the stock and station agents of Christ, church to undertake the selling of tickets in the bungalow raffle to be held in aid of the Canterbury Provincial Patriotic Fund, at a recent meet, ing of the publicity committee of the raffle. The secretary of the fund CMr H. S. Feast) will be in charge of the distribution of tickets, a million of which are being printed, and which will be ready for sale on the opening’ day of the campaign on August 9. Two models of the bungalow have been constructed. One will be displayed at the New Zealand Industries' Fair and the other will Le mounted on a lorry, with a model of the complete layout of the grounds, for display in the city streets. The bungalow consists of five rooms, and is situated in Clifford avenue. Fendalton, on a freehold section given by. Mr C. G. McKellar. The costs of designing the building, furnishing, supplying and insuring the house, have been borne by various organisations, and will not have to be deducted from the amount raised for the fund. The bungalow and section are to. gether estimated to be worth £3OOll and because of their value, it has bees decided that no consolation prizes will be offered.
