OBITUARY

MR K. G. LUCAS (press association telegram.) NELSON, June 24. The death has occurred of Mr Kenneth Gordon Lucas, aged 52, a director of R. Lucas and Son (Nelson Mail), Ltd., and formerly editor of the Nelson “Evening Mail.” DR. ML. G. HALL WRIGHT (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WAIROA, June 24. „ After a collapse while sitting on a Military Medical Board at Wairoa on Saturday which was examining recruits for the Expeditionary Force, Dr. Matthew Leslie Guy Hallwright died at the Wairoa Hospital about 11.30 p.m. on Saturday. Dr. Hallwright, who was 68 years of age, had been practising in Wairoa for 23 years, and was medical superintendent, of the Wairoa Hospital for the whole of that period.
