I “QUITS STALLIN'
AT the time of writing there appears some likelihood that Stalin will “quit stalling” and align himself and his resources with the cause of the Allies* \ * • x It is wrong and dangerous to indulge in “wishful thinking)” and it is not our intention to do so, but We certainly have something to say about the equally dangerous habit of “stalling*” We feel certain that our people realise the necessity of conserving everything of value in order to maintain our war effort. There is no better way to achieve this end v than to preserve and restore to wearable condition the thousands —NO ! hundreds of thousands of pounds* worth of garments of good texture which hartg discarded in Wardrobes and cupboards because they have lost their original freshness or colour. Marvellous achievements of restoration and transformation are being carried out by Taylor’s—cleaning and dyeing are playing their part in the universal effort* Unfortunately it is a common human failing to procrastinate) but surely it only needs a reminder such as this to induce people to —“quit stalling”—look through their wardrobes and send to Taylor’s all garments which should be cleaned or dyed right away. THERE IS NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT! The three best ways to contact Taylor’s * * * (1) Parcels can be left at Taylor’s City Depot) 678 A Colombo Street, opposite Ballantynes. (2) Some people prefer to call at the Factory Depot, 57-59 Kilmore Street, and (3) there’s the magic number to ’phone-^3l-820-—-and Taylor’s Will call at your home for garments requring attention, and return them up to time after carrying out instructions.
