RANGIORA NURSERY SCHOOL

INSPECTION BY EDUCATION OFFICER A recommendation that the committee make plans for the affiliation of the school with another educational institution, such as the Board of Governors of the High School or the Kindergarten Association, was made by Mr D. Ball, an officer of the Education Department, when he met the committee of the Rangiora Nursery School and inspected the school on Tuesday. Mr Ball said that he appreciated the possibilities of the nursery school, but the main difficulty in its recognition by the department was that it was not affiliated with another educational institution. He suggested that the committee make plans for a combination and forward them to the department, where, he said, they would receive very favourable consideration. Mr Ball added that he was most impressed with the work of the school and with its possibilities as an adjunct to the proposed community centre. He was of the opinion that, with its correct training of young children, the school could form the basis of the centre.
