STUD AND THE WAR EFFORT

TO THB EDITOR OP THB PRESS. Sir.—l read in your paper that various breeders had received so much for their stock sold in Australia. Now I think it would be a good idea if they gave the money received to the war funds as stud breeders are doing nothing to help the war. Instead of wasting their time covering sheep and having a few in each paddock,. I think they should be made to grow wheat as all the other patriotic farmers are doing. I heartily agree with Mr Taylor that shows should be cut out while the war is on. Shows will not help the boys at the front, but only a few pot hunters. —Yours, etc., PLAY THE GAME. June 7, 1940.
