WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION
TAI TAPU The monthly meeting of the Tai Tapu Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held in the hall recently,* with Mrs McLachlan presiding. Mrs McKay, Christchurch, outlined some of the work done by the Crippled Children Society. Hostesses for the afternoon were 'Mesdames Harris and .Wilson.
SWANNANOA The Swannanoa branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was presided over by the president, Mrs W. Davis, at its monthly meeting. A play was presented by Mrs Davis and Mrs Hannan. The roll call for the month was:—“A spelling bee.” The lucky cup was ( won by Mrs Harry Winter. \ Competitions resulted:—Single bloom, \ Mrs Harman 1, Mrs Elliot 2; bottled pears, Mrs Davis 1; article from sugar- 1 bag, Mrs Harry Winter 1, Mrs Har- 1 man 2.
