FURTHER CUT IN PETROL

* COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ LICENCES NEW ARRANGEMENT MADE A 10 per cent, cut on existing petrol licences has been imposed on commercial travellers after discussions between the Commercial Travellers’ Association and the Petrol Rationing Committee. Mr J. J. B. Connor, a member of the committee, explained yesterday that it was not the intention of the committee to create hardships for commercial travellers, and it had been arranged that where a commercial traveller was in real difficulty over petrol, and he could obtain the backing of his association, the necessary petrol would be allowed him.
