IMPRISONED FOR CONVERSION ; Pleading guilty to a charge of uni lawfully , converting. a motor-cycle 5 valued at £75, the property of Peter - William Phillips, Stanley William ; Conner, aged ‘ 23: years, was convicted j-- and sentenced to one month’s impris--1 onmeht with hard labour; • Detective-Sergeant F. Sinclair said : that a motor-cycle had, been missing > from Belfast, street on Tuesday night and later Conner was found with the machine some 300 yards distant, apparently having difficulty in starting it. ’ Conner .had: had previous - convictions, 1 for offences ° including theft. Morgan, charged with driving a car and exceeding the speed limit of 30 miles an hour, was fined 10s. For cycling at night without lights T. McGrath, J. McMillan, E. MOOre, L. W. Moxham, and M. Williams were each firied 10s, and B. H. Bruce was fined ss, R. McQuillan 2s 6d, and C. M. O’Connor 2s for similar offences. For cycling on the footpath W- H. Smith, M. Williams, J. Gallagher, J. McMillan. A. Smith were each fined 10s. B. Foley was fined 5s and C. M. O’Connor 2s'on similar charges. W Black, C. J. Inwood, and L. Newton, ’ charged with having liquor in the vicinity of a dance-hall, were fined 10s each. . . ' D.
