NEW BRIGHTON RETURNED SOLDIERS' ASSOCIATION
The membership had shown a slight decrease as compared with last year, stated the report presented to the eighth annual meeting of the New Brighton branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. Mr A. E. Nesbitt presided over a large attendance. “Last year has been a strenuous one for the committee, and we are pleased to report that this is the first year in the h|s.pry of the association that we
have had a clean balance-sheet and-no liabilities,” stated.Mr Nesbitt in open* ing the meeting. ' The financial statement showed a credit over all accounts Of £BS 4s sd, and the assets to be £2462 10a 6d, and liabilities nil. The total receipts for the year were £ISOB 11s Id. During the year £240 14s 9d was paid to clear the building fund debt and £73 2s 6d loan money. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr A. E. Nesbitt; vice-pre-sident, Mr R. ,1.
