COMPETITIONS AT ASHBURTON There is a .decrease of three In the entries for the Ashburton Rugby. Union’s competitions compared with the figure for last year. This year 28 teams will take part, as follows:—Senior four. Junior seven,, third grade seven, fourth gr.ade six, and fifth grade four. The draw for matches on Saturday is as follows: Senior—Old, Boys v. Rakaia, at- Rakala; Technical Old Boys v. Methven, at Ashburton. Junior—Celtic v. Rakala, at Ashburton; Hinds v. Technical Old Boys, at Hinds: Methven v. Springburri, af Methven: Old Boys a bye. . Third Grade—Elffelton- v. Methven, at JSiffelton; Hinds v. Old Boys, at Ashburton; Mayfield v. Tinwald, at Mayfield; Technical Old Boys-a bye. . Fourth Grade—Technical A v. Technical B; -at Ashburton: High School A v. Rakala, at Rakaia; High School B v. Methven, at Ashburton, Fifth Grade—High; School B v. Technical A; High School A v. Technical B. The draw has yet to be approved by the management committee of the union, which will meet to-morrow evening.
